About

The blog of Luke Jostins, a Graduate Student at King’s College, Cambridge and the Sanger Institute. My research involves the genetics of autoimmune disorders (more details here), but I am generally interesting in disease genetics, genomics, statistics and public health, as well as communication of science, and more generally the art of how to measure things and get answers from them, in whatever form that chooses to take.

For more up-to-the-minute genomics news and views, I suggest you follow my Twitter feed. You can also “Friend” me on FaceBook, if you so desire.

    Hi Luke,

I am a U.S.-based investor at a hedge fund (firm description below) studying the genomic sequencing industry for a possible investment. I am trying to understand the paradigm shift that may occur between second and third generation sequencing technology, a topic that is not well covered in published Wall Street research. I have seen your name come up on several of the blogs covering the subject and would like to schedule a brief call with you if you are willing (I would incur any long distance phone charges) to discuss the likely future of the industry.

    Thank you,

    Aron English
