About

The blog of Luke Jostins, a postdoctoral fellow at the at Oxford University. My research involves the genetics of immune-mediated diseases, but I am generally interested in disease genetics, genomics, statistics and public health, as well as communication of science, and more generally the art of how to measure things and get answers from them, in whatever form that chooses to take.

For more up-to-the-minute genomics news and views, I suggest you follow my Twitter feed. You can also “Friend” me on FaceBook, if you so desire.

    Hi Luke,

I tried you at genomes unzipped but I sent email to “info” so I don’t know if it will really find you.

I’m sure you’re a busy guy but if you can spare a moment to help me I would really appreciate it.

I was approached about joining GeneWize. I’m not in the industry so I can’t tell if it’s a legitimate company or not – some things seem compelling and others seem questionable.

Please can you tell me whether the science and the business practices of GeneWize are known in your industry as legitimate?

Thanks so much for any time you can give.

  3. FYI:

The link to your twitter feed on this page points to spam.

The link should point to twitter.com not twitter.org . This blog may have been hacked or on the other hand, it could just be a typo on your part.

  4. Yikes, that’s a pretty obnoxious bit of spam. I am 90% sure that was just a typo on my part. Thanks for pointing it out!
