On Coffee Art

Hello there. I am afraid everything is Hotting Up ’round about now, so I won’t be able to post anything substantial here for a short while. However, I am going to the Darwin exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London this weekend, so I may have something interesting to say about that (other than just going all misty-eyed, sighing a deep sigh, and softly intoning “Darwin…”).

As a bit of filler, as the webcomicists say, I think I’ll show you something cool, but largely unrelated to the general subject matter of this blog.

Coffee Art

There is a Kiwi who works in the coffee shop in King’s College, where I tend to get coffee with some regularity. I drink lattes (stereotype ahoy!) and she always does the milk with little patterns. And I thought these were pretty, and worth showing you, since I know how you like this sort of thing.

Coffee oyster

A coffee heart

A coffee plant

A coffee flower

I’ll mentioned briefly that there is far flashier coffee art to be found around the internet, but they are just showing off.

  1. I love the coffee plant one…

    Also: Loooowk.

I have not seen you in ages, which is sad. I have a new email address (london DOT is DOT awake AT gmail DOT com) and will mail you or something. I hope things are going well in Cambridge! :)

Also I’m flattered that you had me on your blogroll. I’ve now taken the artblog down for reasons I won’t go into here but will possibly make a replacement soon, one I actually update and things!
